We head to Eva’s house almost everynight (one exception) to eat amazing traditional Danish dinners. We are staying in a really nice apartment in downtown Copenhagen. It is very close to Hovedbanegården(The central train station) and Rådhuspladsen(Central square). So we are basically right downtown and close to all the action.
Today we walked down Strøget(The main shopping street). All the stores were closed, due to the holiday, but it was really nice to see the area with no people around. At the far east end of Strøget is Kogens Nytorv (the King’s New Square). It is a large square with several roads branching off in many directions and ice skating in the center. To the south east lays Nyhavn (New Port). This area is basically a large canal lined with pubs, bars, and cafes. The area was built in the 1670s. We stopped in one of the pubs for some coco and tea.
